"I held an MS Fundraiser here, and not only is the food outstanding, but Jenna and staff were attentive to their patrons, friendly, and just a great group of people. They work very well together, and their guest had all of their needs met without asking for anything. Back to the food. I said it was outstanding! I had their crabcake sandwich, and it was delicious! It was a generous patty, and the toppings made it mouth-watering! Prices are reasonable, and portions are generous. Can't wait to go back!"

"We went for brunch for the first time. The menu is creative and the ambiance is fun and quirky. The food itself was pretty tasty and portion sizes were good in general. My complaints come in with my meal; I got the breakfast tacos and asked for them vegetarian (taking the 2 meats off), which left them pretty scarce. It didn’t seem that they compensated by adding more of the other fillings and I wasn’t offered a substitution of avocado, etc. We were still charged the same amount, which was expensive. My other complaint was the really terrible drip coffee. It’s that standard super weak “dirty water” diner coffee that a lot of people loathe. I suggest switching to a bolder, more flavorful coffee as this is make or break for a lot of people. I definitely would return again, but there is room for improvement."

By the late 1900s, bagels became more than just a meal; they symbolized a fusion of cultures, representing a blend of old-world traditions and modern American tastes. Today, bagels remain a beloved breakfast choice for many.

Breakfast on the Frontier

Picture a rustic kitchen on a Connecticut farm in the 1700s, where the day begins with a simple yet nourishing meal. For frontier families, breakfast often consisted of what was readily available, like homemade bread, eggs, and perhaps some fruit. This simplicity reflected the agricultural lifestyle of the time, where meals were made from locally sourced ingredients. As the state developed, so did breakfast traditions, but the essence of utilizing what the land provides has remained a core part of Connecticut's culinary heritage.
