"Everything was great here!! This was our first time and we both loved it. Food was delicious, prices are very reasonable, and the service is nice and fairly quick. The only minor complaint is that it can be a little intimating / pressuring when you walk inside and aren't familiar with the restaurant and you need to look at the walls to see the menu. It would be nice if there was a paper menu available. But other than that, it's a lovely place for a quick and economical breakfast / lunch place, and definitely recommend it. And I especially recommend the Nutella french toast!"

Counter order, table served, self-serve coffee/tea. The food was quick and great, and home fries were amazing!"

Sweet Syrup and Maple Trees

In Connecticut, breakfast isn’t complete without the rich sweetness of maple syrup. The state has a long history of maple sugaring, dating back to Native American tribes who first tapped the trees for sap. The process of boiling the sap down to syrup became a cherished tradition, particularly in the spring months. Today, many families uphold this ritual, enjoying freshly made pancakes drizzled with local syrup. This connection to nature not only highlights the importance of maple syrup in the breakfast repertoire but also celebrates a deeper appreciation for the region’s agricultural heritage.
